Ballet

Ballet is a classical dance form demanding grace and precision and employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement.  
 
 
 
Dress Code for Ballet:
Pink ballet shoes, leotard and tights, hair pulled away from face in ponytail or bun.  Optional:  Ballet skirts

Tap

Tap is a dance in which the rhythm or rhythmical variation is audibly tapped out with the toe or heel by a dancer wearing shoes with special hard soles or with taps. 
 
 
 
Dress Code for Tap:
Suntan Tap shoes, Leotard and tights, hair pulled away from face
Optional:  Dance shorts, form fitting tank, sweats

Suntan jazz shoes, leotard and tights, hair pulled away from face in ponytail or bun. 
Optional:  Jazz pants or Jazz shorts

Lyrical

Lyrical is a dance style that combines elements of Ballet, Modern and Jazz techniques. It is commonly set to popular music with vocals.  The name lyrical comes from the word "lyrics" because dancers use the lyrics of a song or instrumental music to inspire them to do certain movements or show expression.    
 
Dress Code for Lyrical:
Suntan lyrical shoes, leotard and tights, hair pulled away from face in ponytail or bun. 
Optional:  Toe panties, bare feet, jazz pants, jazz shorts

Hip Hop

Hip hop dancing is an ideal way to express one's creativeness. It features self impressions and the dances come from the soul. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. There is breaking, popping, locking, and free styling in hip hop dances.

 

  
Dress Code for Hip Hop:
Black Hip Hop tennis shoes, Jazz pants or Dance Shorts with tank, hair pulled away from face in ponytail or bun. 
Optional:  Sweat pants

Clogging

 Clogging is a form of dance which incorporates elements of tap and jazz.  Typically set to a form of country and western music, it is hand clapping, foot stomping fun! 
 
  
Dress Code for Clogging:
Clogging shoes, hair pulled away from face in ponytail or bun.
